Born of Fire, Born of the Sea

The Hawaiian islands are “born of fire, born of the sea.”  So, in between WWOOFing 15 hours per week (I know, it’s a rough life…  Actually, life on the farm has been a bit rough.  More to come on this later.), I’ve attempted to document Hawaii’s fiery personality and marine beauty while we’ve been vacationing with Anna’s parents on the Big Island over the last week.

Pele, the Hawaiian fire goddess says “Aloha!” at Kilauea in Hawaii Volcanoes National Park.  Awesome.

Now cool off with some underwater SCUBA footage taken on the GoPro and watch Garrison channel his inner sea turtle.

Take care, mainlanders.  Of course we miss you all, but we’re pretty busy soaking up all the fun and sun in the middle of the Pacific.  We’ll be sure to soak some up for you too!

Hey guys!! Wow, thanks for sharing your awesome diving video, loved the music. The one and only question I have for you is…how are you ever going to be able to work a set schedule again (teaching 7:30-3:00)? I for one would have a hard time coming back ‘down to earth’ after an adventure like yours! Looking forward to your next installment of videos!

I am getting caught up on your blog, and now all I want to do is write a book about how amazing you both are. Now that I’m thinking of it, maybe I will. 🙂
